The Capital City Invitational is a 'Stay to Play' event
This is an invite-only tournament. Any team wishing to play in this event that was not invited must complete and turn in a `Request an Invite` form: CLICK HERE! Event Format: 4-Game Guarantee. Pool Play to Modified Double Elimination Championship. Potentially a Maximum of 9 games may be played throughout the weekend, given 12 teams in an age group. THIS IS A LOT OF BASEBALL, do not request a spot or accept the invitation if you are not prepared for this level of commitment. No games on Friday. Field Locations: 9u & 10u - RF&P Park 11u - Glen Allen Complex 12u - Poor Farms Athletic Complex 13u - RF&P Stadium, Tuckahoe LL Field 9, James River HS 14u - Shepherd Stadium, Dinwiddie Sports Complex, Dorey Park, Hermitage HS Awards: Champions receive a paid entry into the 2021 Virginia State Championship OR $500 voucher towards the 2021 Summer Nationals in Myrtle Beach, SC. Age Cutoff Date: May 1 Important Information: Please submit your signed Triple Crown roster online prior to your first game. Each team must carry a packet of birth certificates throughout tournament. Bring your own baseballs, two new and one used baseball per game. You will get your baseballs back after each game. Lodging Policy: Teams are required to stay with one of Triple Crowns lodging partners for a minimum of 10 room nights. If you are within 75 miles from Richmond you are considered local and there is no requirements. If you are outside of 75 miles and choose to stay in alternative lodging, there will be a $250 surcharge. Game Times Available: Monday, April 5th after 6 p.m. ET Pitching and base distances for this event: 13's & 14's will play 60'-90'; 11's-12's will play 50'-70'; 9's-10's will play 46'-65' (NOTE: real baseball for the 9U and 10U divisions -- steals, leadoffs, etc). This is an invite-only tournament for the region's most competitive teams.
